Born and raised in Victoria, Heidi has been involved with AIDS Vancouver Island since 1997. She enjoys her work in the field of HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness education, and is especially passionate about sexual health promotion for youth. A University of Victoria Graduate, she is able to use her background in Socio-cultural Anthropology to understand how this pandemic affects people from all walks of life. Heidi is excited to return to AVI after a rewarding one-year placement with "Project Respect" (a youth prevention initiative of the Women's Sexual Assault Centre).
