Priority Actions

Over the next four years, AIDS Vancouver Island will develop and continuously
refine its actions and allocate resources in the following areas, based on the
best available evidence and input from clients, staff, volunteers, service partners
and funders.

• Research
• Program Development
• Partnership Building and Developing Strategic Alliances
• Education and Training
• Public Policy Development
• Organizational Development

The particular mix or combination of actions in a given year will depend on
several important criteria, including the extent to which the actions:

• will help achieve the long term strategic goals
• will help build and sustain an environment of individual, social and economic
  inclusion
• will produce short term, measurable success for current clients and target
  client populations
• are evidence-based and technically feasible ü are well supported by
  clients, staff, volunteers, target populations and service partners
• can be leveraged to generate new funding, partnerships and/or research opportunities
• can be implemented within available human and financial resources
