Can a woman get HIV from getting oral sex?

Receptive oral sex on a woman (being licked on the clitoris and/or the vagina)presents only a remote possibility of HIV transmission. It is unlikely for HIV to be transmitted this way; there have been no documented cases of women becoming HIV positive from having oral sex performed on them.

The remote possibility of HIV transmission in this sexual activity exists in situations where blood in the mouth of the person performing the oral sex enters any abrasions in the vagina.
