Iain DeJong, is an urban planner and manager of the Streets to Home program in Toronto, which is the city’s “housing first” plan to end homelessness. “Streets to Homes” has helped more than 1,500 people move from homelessness to stable housing. At this time, 90% remain housed. Mr. De Jong will speak about the Toronto experience in moving people directly from the street into stable housing, providing valuable insights into what works and how to create the conditions for success. More information can be found at www.toronto.ca/housing.
