Marilyn Callahan, Chair

Marilyn Callahan, a longtime resident and activist in Victoria, is a retired professor from the University of Victoria where she taught at the School of Social Work for many years. Her ongoing research and writing has focussed upon social policy with particular attention to child welfare and substance use.

She has been an active participant in many community and national organizations including women's services and city planning. The death of a family friend and, later, the illness of several of her students prompted her to learn more about HIV-AIDS and how to grapple with it locally and at an international level.
