This policy covers website(s) owned or operated by AIDS Vancouver Island. We encourage you to take the time to read this privacy policy and those of any website you visit. AIDS Vancouver Island was established in 1986 as a nonprofit community-based AIDS Service Organization (ASO). We provide education, support, and advocacy for people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, and other communicable diseases. AIDS Vancouver Island is committed to providing integrated services to these individuals and our Street Outreach Program provides services for people who use drugs by injection. As an example of our commitment to reducing harms and containing HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C and other communicable diseases, AIDS Vancouver Island has managed the country's oldest needle exchange program since 1988. To maintain contact with friends of the agency, AIDS Vancouver Island manages this website, www.avi.org.
